OUR STORY
Optigon's founding team first began working together in MIT's GridEdge Solar Research Program in 2018. After developing several automated characterization tools used by researchers across MIT, our team decided to launch Optigon in 2021 with the goal of expanding our reach to users beyond the MIT ecosystem. In 2022, we joined Greentown Labs in Somerville, MA where we are currently headquartered. Along the way, we've been fortunate to receive support from the U.S. Department of Energy and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to help make our vision of near real-time materials characterization for photovoltaics and beyond a reality.
OUR MISSION
Enabling our Clean Energy Future.
Optigon provides materials characterization tools that support the researchers and manufacturers on the frontlines of the clean energy transition. We are striving to ensure new materials can be discovered, optimized, scaled, and produced at the throughputs and quality required for the modern research lab and manufacturing line.
